Mother's Milk is Red Hot Chili Peppers' fourth studio album.
It was released the same year as the fIREHOSE album fROMOHIO (1989), the second of three pairs of albums the two bands released the same year.
It was the first album to feature guitarist John Frusciante and drummer Chad Smith, although neither of them played on the entire album.
Fishbone drummer Philip Fisher played drums on track 7.
Guitarist Hillel Slovak and drummer Jack Irons played on track 9.
Drummer D.H. Peligro co-wrote tracks 7, 8, and 12, but didn't play on any of the tracks of the album.
